Johnathan attended a series of six sessions for heads and aspiring heads of departments. The six sessions included:

Session2:             Giving feedback and setting out pupils’ work

Session 3:            Using data to raise standards

Session 4:            Monitoring and standardization

Session 5:            Schemes of Work

Session 6:            Departmental self-evaluation

This course reflects the Curriculum and Teaching element in the School Effectiveness Framework and links to the Teaching Strategies section of the Pedagogy Framework.

Johnathan is confident in leading a department and has acted as Head of Department during a colleague’s absence.
