About Johnathan

The desire to pursue a career in teaching for Johnathan, derives from an extensive résumé of enhancing children as individuals. His parents are foster carers and Johnathan has been fortunate to interact with people from a range of backgrounds. As a teenager, Johnathan worked as a Play Scheme Leader for the local council during school holidays. Johnathan later became a member of the Learning Support department at a local Secondary School where he discovered a passion for teaching. The following year, Johnathan enrolled to study Education at university.

Since a young age, Johnathan has been keen to play an active role supporting charities. He successfully applied to Urdd Gobaith Cymru charity to visit and renovate two orphanages in Poland. Johnathan also raised £2,500 for the Joshua Foundation, which is charity for children who suffer with terminal cancer. In addition, Johnathan has also visited Australia to undertake voluntary conservation work in Melbourne. He continued his voluntary work through university by attending local schools and mentoring students by helping with their reading and writing skills.

As a qualified teacher, Johnathan is recognised for applying himself in and beyond the classroom. Johnathan has achieved Outstanding during several observations and experienced three Eystn inspections. He is experienced in teaching the International Primary Curriculum, the National Curriculum for England and Wales, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and Welsh Baccalaureate. Johnathan is knowledgeable of the International Baccalaureate programs and is confident his teaching standards meet those of the International Baccalaureate Organisation.

Johnathan combines many of his personal interests with extra-curricular activities as he believes they foster positive relationships between teacher and pupil. Johnathan has organised, contributed to and lead activities in the areas of culture, sport and music.
